The monograph is devoted to the study of the agrarian policy of the Soviet state in the first post -war decades. The main attention in the work is paid to the study of the relations of the state and collective farms, the orientation, as well as the results of government measures to restore and develop agriculture. A number of the most important state actions are investigated by campaigns to enlarge collective farms and their transformation into state farms, the introduction of agricultural techniques and technologies, strengthening the material and technical base, etc. The central place in the work is studying the agrarian reforms of N.S. Khrushchev. The book reveals discussion moments in agrarian historical science, and a critical understanding of the modern approaches of scientists in their interpretation is given. The author offers his view on the degree of effectiveness of the campaign to master virgin and in -light lands, the reform of 1958 on the reorganization of MTS, various administrative transformations. An important place in the study is given to the study of the standard of living of the urban and rural population, the provision of food products.
