The book is based on the materials of two All-Russian scientific and theoretical conferences (2020 and 2021) It reveals the insufficiently investigated and discussion problems of the history of World War II and Great Patriotic Wars. The authors paid the main attention to the study of the influence that the events on the Soviet-German front on the situation in various countries of the world and the outcome of the Second World War. The pages of the book consider questions about the goals of Hitler Germany in the war, about collaboration and resistance movement, about cooperation with the countries of the axis of other states, specific fighting of the period of the Great Patriotic War are analyzed. A special section is devoted to the problems of international cooperation, the political situation in various states in 1939-1945. Much attention is paid to diplomatic history and the problem of unconditional surrender of the states of the fascist bloc, the question of the periodization of World War II is raised. Several articles are devoted to the analysis of the fiction about the war.
