The book dedicated to the events of the Soviet-Polish war (1920-1921) included the memoirs of two military and political figures who looked at each other literally through the scope: the commander in chief of the Polish army, Jozef Pilsudsky and the commander of the Soviet Western Front, Mikhail Tukhachevsky. People of different ages, character and fate converged on the battlefield with different purposes: Pilsudski sought to revive the “Great Polish -Lithuanian Commonwealth from the Sea to the Sea”, Tukhachevsky - “promote the world revolution to Europe”. Neither one nor the other managed to fulfill the plan.
Soviet Russia lost this war and for almost twenty years lost the lands of Western Ukraine and Belarus. Poland became a good force in European politics, but ... for the same twenty years. Fierce disputes among historians are still underway about the origins, progress and results of the war.
The book is addressed to the reader, who wants to learn more about the little -known events of our history and make his opinion about them
