By the beginning of the 1930s. Cabinet artillery of the Red Army needed modernization. Rifle guns since the First World War were not mobile, had a small angle of guidance and firing range. And already in 1937, under the leadership of F.F. Petrov, the development of a new -sample howitzer, capable of becoming a worthy replacement of an obsolete arsenal, launched.
The M-10 howitzer entered the Great Patriotic War of a combat-ready and modern tool. Despite the fact that most of the M-10 was lost in the summer battles of 1941, the remaining howitzers were not decommissioned until the end of the war.
The book describes in detail the history of the design and use of the 152-mm M-10 howitzer, which made a significant contribution to the victory over Nazi Germany and its satellites
