The collection is based on the documents of seven Russian and two Chinese archives, for the most part of the first time being involved in scientific circulation. The book is devoted to the most important plots in the humanitarian sense - the history of the formation of relations between the USSR and China in the 1950s by means of "cultural diplomacy". The diverse and important ties of cultural institutions, public organizations, creative unions of both countries took over at that time a mission of the development of mutual interest and strengthening mutual contacts in various fields of art. Documents show how and what were the results of the exchange of Soviet and Chinese delegations of writers, artists, musicians, athletes, artists and scientists. The diverse world of culture and art became the space of friendship, which united the peoples.
