The album book presents the story of the feat of Lieutenant of the Red Army Alexander Pechersky-the head of the legendary uprising in the Nazi camp of death Sobibor. About the Pechersky himself, his family and combat comrades, about the ups and downs of many years of struggle for the return of the feat is described without fictions and distortions, a strict language of facts and documents. The basis of the book, which goes to the 75th anniversary of the uprising, was unique photos and documents from the archive of the Pechersky and from other private collections. A significant part of the materials is published for the first time.
The book is illustrated by the previously not published works of the famous Soviet artist Meer Axelrod from the cycle German occupation.
