The Russian-Turkish war of 1877-1878 is a landmark event in Russian history. Russia again passed through a series of high -quality transformations and reforms showed the whole world that its interests should be reckoned with, and its armies should be afraid. Helping the fraternal Bulgarian people to throw off the Ottoman yoke and free their country from the invaders, Russia, Russia acted as a defender of all the weak and oppressed.
There were many battles in this war, in each of which the Russian soldier showed himself from the best side, showing miracles of stamina, courage and self -sacrifice, but the most famous are the battle on the Shipysk Pass and the siege of Plevna. These and other, no less interesting events are described in this work.
Thanks to the careful attitude to the facts, the support on the true documents of that era and lightness of the presentation of the material, the book will be interesting to a wide range of readers
