Sheikh Mansur is one of the key figures in the North Caucasian history of the second half of the XVIII century. To date, documents on his activities have not been published in full. Materials included in the collection from the funds of the Central State Archive of the Republic of Dagestan and the Central Historical Archive of Georgia make up for this gap and cover not only the Russian-Chechen relations of the late 18th century, but also in general the situation in the North Caucasus region.
