Samurai is a military class in medieval Japan, which ceased to exist at the end of the 19th century, but the Samurai spirit continued to be cultivated in the Armed Forces of Imperial Japan. It was clearly manifested in all the wars that Japan waged in the first half of the 20th century, including the Russian-Japanese war of 1904-1905. And the Soviet-Japanese war of 1945 and only the defeat of the Kwantun Army by Soviet troops, marked the final defeat of Japan in the Second World War, leads to its gradual fading.
