This book is a brief description of Russian history through the biographies of sovereigns who have ruled from IX to the 20th century. Novgorod, Kyiv, Vladimir-Suzdal, Moscow, Tver princes, Russian kings and emperors from Rurik to Nicholas II are located here in a chronological sequence. Only a few lines are devoted to some of these characters, the history of other Russian rulers is described in great detail. It will be added that the book refers to the individuals who did not belong to the ruling dynasties, but, nevertheless, played a noticeable role in the formation and development of the Russian state. The text gives the details of the personal life of the sovereigns, which allows more convex and multifaceted to draw their portrait. The book has a scheme illustrating the continuity of state power throughout the thousand -year history of Russia.
This publication can be considered as an appendix to the tutorial of T.M. Timoshina "Economic History of Russia", recommended for students of higher educational institutions and withstanding several publications (in 2015 the 18th edition of this book was published).
