The monograph is devoted to Russian scientific expeditions in the Trapezund (1916, 1917) under the leadership of the vizantian academician F. I. Uspensky. The materials of the expedition on the culture and architecture of the Trapezund were published only partially. This book manages to fill in gaps and submit new data on the history of the culture of the Trapezund Empire of World Byzantinism
