During the Russo-Japanese War of 1904, captain Valentin Kulchitsky wrote "Tips to the Young Officer", which, in fact, became a code of honor of a Russian officer. The book also included: "Duel Code" V. Durasov, equally fair for both civilians and the military, and the story of A.S. Pushkin "shot", as the brightest illustration of both officer honor and duel history. For a duel is a "last argument of the preservation of honor."
