In the readers of the 20th (anniversary) book of the series" Russian Jews in America "(Reva), materials are grouped according to the same principle as in previous issues:" History "," Literature "," Art "," Politics" and " "Events and people".
In the section "History", an article by V. Telitsyn is placed on the now almost forgotten Russian revolutionary Angelica Balabanova - participant of the V Congress of the RSDLP in London (1907), Congresses of the II International in Stuttgart (1907), Copenhagen (1910) and Basel (1912 ), a number of congresses of the Italian Socialist Party and International Socialist Conferences. In 1936-1946 She lived in the USA, where she actively participated in the socialist movement and wrote interesting memories. The article by B. Gorovitsa is dedicated to the role of "intercessors" in the emigration of Russian Jews.
Here W. Miller talks about the US years (1906-1921) Golda Meir, the future fifth prime minister of the state of Israel.
