"Russian idea" is the second book of Alexander Bokhanov on the historiosophy of Russian statehood. It analyzes the Russian national-state self-awareness from the earliest phases of the historical phenomenon of Rus" to the moment of the crash of the autocratic monarchy.
The author adheres to the cosmological principle of comprehension of history, traditional for Orthodox theology, and considers the Russian idea as a phenomenon of spiritual order. It was this phenomenon that for many centuries was defended by different people united by love for Russia and the Orthodox faith: from the first monks, chroniclers and princes of ancient Kiev to pious monarchs, Orthodox saints - ascetics and thinkers of the XIX -XX centuries.
