The proposed textbook is a logical continuation of the course of lectures of the same authors on the history of Russia in the IX-XIX centuries. Leading employees of the Department of History of MSTU named after Bauman. On the basis of many years of teaching experience, this course was developed taking into account the specifics of the general educational request for the history of Russia for students of technical universities.
The use of the problem-chronological method allowed the authors on the basis of modern scientific data to highlight the main events of the most stormy century in the history of our country: the collapse of the Russian Empire during the two revolutions of 1917, the tragedy of the Civil War, the historical significance of the creation of the USSR, the feat of the Soviet people in The Great Patriotic War, the achievements and difficulties of the development of the Soviet Union in the context of the global confrontation of the two systems and the reasons for its collapse. Particular attention was paid to the problems of the formation of modern Russian statehood and the struggle of the Russian Federation at the beginning of the 21st century for a fair world order.
A textbook is intended for students of non -humanitarian universities, as well as for all readers who seek to develop a scientific idea of the history of our country
