The monograph continues the series of research by M. B. Bessudnova, dedicated to the Russian -anzean relations of the end of the Middle Ages and the beginning of the New Age. A number of plots reflecting the main trends in the development of the trade relations of Veliky Novgorod and Pskov with the Hanseatic cities of Livonia and the overseas" Hansa, leads the reader to understand the causes and nature of the change in the Russian -anzean trade exchange, which have taken place from the moment of signing the trade world of 1510 to the year and before began in 1558 of the Livonian war.
In the monograph, discussion problems associated with the Novgorod German courtyard, the trade successes of Ivangorod and Narva, the "guest policy of the Livonian cities, the Lubeck trade strategy, etc. are affected.
