The main objects of the study are Russian emigrants and refugees, remigrants, their legal status, their activities aimed at ensuring legal conditions in the recipient countries necessary to adapt to the conditions of a stranger to them of statehood in the 1920-1940s. The monograph discusses the methods of solving the problem of external migration, refugee, remigration in Russia (USSR), as well as in the main hosts and transit centers of Russian abroad: in the countries of continental Europe (France, Germany, Czechoslovakia, the kingdom of Serbs, Croats, Slovenes, and since 1929 G. Yugoslavia, Bulgaria), in the states of the Anglo-Saxon legal family (USA, Great Britain), in the limitrophs (Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania)
