The book discusses works of English graphic art, which one way or another captured the portrait and satirical appearance of Russians of the Catherine and Pavlovsk reign.
An illustrative series of this book is based on domestic and foreign meetings of English printed graphics. Most of the published artistically significant works are directly related to the work of leading masters who determined the heyday of the English school of graphic art of the 2nd half of the 18th century.
As it turns out, then the greatest interest in England was manifested in itself in the three Russian character - Catherine II, Pavel I and A.V. Suvorov, which was reflected in the emergence of a very significant number of graphics, marked by the highest artistic quality. Most of them were directly related to the latest foreign policy events affecting the indigenous interests of the British themselves.
The book is of particular interest to the history of graphic art, bilateral relations of Russia and Great Britain, as well as for researchers and connoisseurs of ancient graphics
