This publication completes the trilogy about the practice of awarding the first red (Soviet) aviators by the Order of the Red Banner of the RSFSR - the highest award for a combat feat at that time.
Chronologically, the book covers the period from the beginning of 1923 until April 1930 and tells about the combat and peaceful activities of conquerors of the Fifth Ocean of Turkestan, the North Caucasus, in the Far East, in the North, in the Arctic and other countries - China, Afghanistan , Persia.
On the basis of numerous archival documents (reports of hostilities, ideas for awarding and orders for awarding), personal memoirs of direct participants in the described events and materials of family archives, the circumstances of the accomplishment of exploits are investigated. Many aviators are mentioned for the first time.
The topic of awarding the aircraft of the Aviators of the Red Banner of the RSFSR and the USSR, as well as the military and labor orders of other Soviet republics: Bukhara, Khorezm, Uzbek, Tajik and Turkmen, is also affected.
The afterword tells about the further fate of many aviators, their participation in the formation of Soviet military and civil aviation in the thirties. The theme of the Stalinist repressions of the 1930s-1940s and the participation of aviators in the Great Patriotic War, other conflicts and wars are not ignored.
The book is illustrated by unique photos, many of which are published for the first time, equipped with tables and schemes.
For historians, phalerians and everyone who is interested in the annals of domestic aviation
