Reader in the History of State and Law of Foreign Countries. Modern and Contemporary Times

The textbook contains texts of the most significant in the world history of the new and modern times of the legal documents of England (since 1707 - Great Britain), the USA, France and Germany: petitions, declarations, constitutions, constitutional laws, civil and criminal codes. They reflect the state and legal development of these countries in the period from the XVII to the beginning of the XXI century.
Documents included in the real reader are studied in seminars at the Law Faculty of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov. Their critical consideration and discussion is called upon to give students knowledge of the best examples of world jurisprudence, to introduce the legal and political ideas that played a huge role in the history of mankind. At the same time, it should contribute to the assimilation of fundamental legal ideas, legal categories, the development of future lawyers the ability to analyze and understand the content and meaning of the legal text, the formation of legal thinking skills - a sense of legal common sense that allows us to critically evaluate the current legislation.
A number of documents submitted in this textbook are given in new translations from English, French and German into Russian, which Professor V. A. Tomsinov made it especially for this publication.
