Tsar Fedor Alekseevich was the first of the Russians to put on a Polish dress, which was followed by all courtiers, canceled the custom of shaving his head and began to wear long hair. Many courtiers began to trim their beards and openly smoke tobacco, and some of them, in addition, began to wear a short -free German dress. Queen Agafya made a coup in the female court fashion, she herself wore a hat in Polish fashion, leaving her hair open. All these innovations occurred long before the majority of Peter the Great.
