Failure is a unique attraction of the city of Pyatigorsk. First of all, it is a natural phenomenon of karst-textonic origin in the bowels of Mount Mashuk, which was first investigated by Russian scientists and eventually turned into a cultural and archetele object available for a public visit.
Working on the book, the authors relied on archival documents, numerous periodic and separate print media of the XIX-XX centuries from the libraries of our country, the study of prominent Pyatigorsk historians and local historians of the beginning of the past century. The publication is a peculiar chronology and illustrated encyclopedia of Pyatigorsk failure. The book is focused on a wide range of readers - from schoolchildren and students to historians, art historians, local historians, guides and guests of the resort.
