Peter and Fevronia

The Murom Prince Peter and his wife, a simple villager of Fevronia, have been revered by the saints since ancient times. Now the day of their memory, July 8, was not only celebrated on the church calendar, but also became a public holiday - the All -Russian Day of Marital Love, Fidelity and Family Happiness. Meanwhile, we know practically nothing about the life of the Murom couple itself: no matter what detail, whatever name is, everything is surrounded by a halo of secrets, everything gives rise to different, sometimes mutually exclusive interpretations. The authors of the book and took the work of understanding the hidden meanings and the real historical background of the famous "Tale of Peter and Fevronia of the Murom", which presented the images of two loving spouses who lived an amazing, adventure of life and died in one day.
