The book is intended for jurists and other social scholars involved in the history of political and legal teachings, the general theory of law and the philosophy of law. It has two main items. The first is philosophical and legal. It is outlined by the following questions. What are the people? What is the atomistic and opposing organic understanding of the people? How is an organic understanding of the people connected with Christianity? What are the main features of the organic understanding of the people in those exercises that influenced the first Russian political and legal teachings?
The second subject can be called in two ways: “The history of Russian medieval political and legal teachings” or “The history of Russian philosophy of law in the Middle Ages”. The main question to which the author tries to find the answer: what role did the organic understanding of the people play when the Russian people arise? The book investigates the “Word of the Law and Grace” of Metropolitan Hilarion in detail. The political and legal exercises contained in the works of Metropolitan Nicephorus and in the works of the Philofeev cycle are less detail. The author highly appreciates the concept of Hilarion “once not the people, but now the people of God” for the Russian people, as well as the following concepts of the provision of Nikifor"s teachings. The justification of the dynastic princely power Hilarion and Nikifor, as well as the so -called The theory “Moscow is the Third Rome” The author considers biblical to the lawful and detrimental for the development of Russian philosophy of law
