This is a book about Soviet prisoners of war in Norway during the Second World War. The work of thousands of prisoners of war from different countries, but mainly from the USSR, was used by the Nazis in the construction of military facilities in the north of the country. Many of them - famous and unknown prisoners - died in captivity and were buried in various places in the country. During the Cold War, the Norwegian authorities decided to transfer the remains of Soviet prisoners of war of two hundred seats per cemetery on the island of Khitta. This operation, called the "asphalt", was carried out in 1951 and caused a sharply negative reaction of the Norwegian public, ordinary Norwegians, who considered that there was no proper respect for the memory of the fallen.
author of the book M.N. Soleim has been studying the fate of Soviet prisoners of war for many years
