This book is not about modern events, not about the "Maidan" and not about the war in the Donbass. She"s about what happened before. She is about the root cause. About what Novorossia is, and why it is not someone’s fiction, but historical reality. The same as Ukraine (or even more).
The monograph discusses the problems of the national-cultural development of the population of Novorossiya in the period from the end of the XVIII to the end of the XX century. The focus of attention is the problem of the formation of national identity (self-perception and self-identification) of the East Slavic population of this region, the language question and the related features of the historical fate of the region and the political orientation of its inhabitants throughout this period, especially in the 20th century.
The book is accompanied by rich illustrative material and cards.
For everyone who is interested in domestic history and modernity
