Novgorod and Pskov. Essays on the political history of northwest Russia of the XI-XIV centuries

The monograph covers the key moments of the socio-political development of Pskov in the XI-XIV centuries. In the context of his relationship with the Novgorod Republic. Continuing the traditions of domestic historical and source science, the author in the first part of the study considers the history of the Pskov chronicle and reconstructs the initial Pskov code of the 50s of the XIV century, and in the second and third parts, on the basis of the studied source base, it analyzes socio-political processes in the medieval Pskov. On many controversial and poorly studied issues of North-West Russia, an original interpretation of facts and events has been proposed.
