Provocations and betrayal is an integral part of the history of the Russian revolutionary movement. This book is dedicated to one of its most difficult periods: after the murder of Alexander II, the Popular Volya party was experiencing a serious crisis that exacerbated the provocation. Already contemporaries dubbed her Degayevshchina - the secret police inspector Georgy Sudeikin managed to recruit and make his agent a member of the party Sergey Degayev, and he gave him a huge number of party comrades.
