The work of the famous British orientalist, Professor Stanley Leinpul is a unique study on the history of Muslim dynasties. Working in libraries, museums and archives, the author collected and systematized colossal material, used all the main Arab sources, historical works and periodicals on oriental studies and numismatics and created a real guide for Muslim chronology and genealogy. Historical introduction, preceding chronological and genealogical tables, is brief essays that contain information about each dynasty (origin, elevation and fall), determines the degree of vastness of its possessions and a place among other sovereign houses. At the end of the book there is a nominal index.
