This book is an attempt to see Moscow and Soviet everyday life through the eyes of the famous Russian prose writer of the 20th century Mikhail Bulgakov. For almost two decades of Moscow life, the many -sided city appeared before him in ordinary and official, archaic and self -sized, caricature and tragic images. Not being a Muscovite by birth, Bulgakov became one of the most “Moscow” writers. The images of Moscow of the 1920s and 1930s were embodied in his artistic and journalistic works, diaries and letters, as well as in the memoirs of those who were near him, the judgments of contemporaries.
The popular science publication is intended for all the biography and work of Bulgakov, the history of Moscow at the beginning of the 20th century, it will be useful for teaching literature and the school course of Moscow
