The book examines the question of the origin of the first lists of the wonders of the world of the Early Arab Caliphate. Two lists of wonders have survived to this day as part of the Arab geographical works of the 9th - early X century. One refers to four copper talismans, in the other - about the seven wonders of mythical Babylon. For us, the lists of miracles appear to be the sum of mysterious information of a dark property. We are unknown to neither the goal nor the task of the first works about amazing things. From the World Foundation of Miracles, the Arabs borrowed not plots, but individual elements. We are talking about the construction of a special reality related to the theme of the boundaries of the world. The wonders were created on the basis of other people"s myths, perceived by the Arabs as secret knowledge. Arabs were only interested in magic objects. The mysterious stories record the achievement of the limit of understanding, the dark zone, the hermetic closeness of someone else"s universe. This is the peculiarity of the early Arabic metaoistory.
