The monograph is the first multidimensional socio-demographic study of the merchant family of Moscow the last third of the XVIII century. The basis of the study was the primary materials of the revision accounting of the population and church statistics, which were not previously involved in the study of demographic processes among Moscow residents of the XVIII century. The work defines the structure and pierce of the merchant family, its predominant type, the relationship of these parameters with the property position of the merchant family is revealed. Issues such as the duration of marriage, marriage, the number of children born in marriage, sexual age mortality and its causes have been investigated. Particular attention is paid to the study of the dynamics of the number of families of guild and intensity of updating the family composition of the Moscow merchants. One of the studies is the merchant estate of Moscow of the XVIII century
