The release opens with a new section “The living room” of the Middle Ages ”, designed to introduce the Russian reader to the leading Western medievists. In this case, we will talk about the history, theory and practice of sigillography. The discussion of the topic “Translations in the history of the Middle Ages and in the work of the medievist” continues. The analysis of the images of the war, warriors and even warriors are devoted to articles considering the Chrono of Regino Pryumsky and the treatise “On the City of the Female” Christina de Pisan. The history of medieval institutions, as well as ideas about them, is traditionally given a significant place. In the section “On the edge of the Latin world”, attempts are considered to mobilize the resources of the Venetians and hospitals to protect the Peloponnes, as well as the development of Russian-French trade ties in the Baltic during the existence of “Russian Livonia”.
