The global crisis again aroused the interest in Marx and Marxism throughout the world. In this regard, in the book of a famous philosopher, political scientist and publicist B.F. Slavina considers the most debatable and poorly studied issues of Marxism, related to the interpretation of Marx of his social ideal, understanding him of world history, the role of the “Russian community”, revolution and labor movement.
For their ideas, the classics of Marxism were often criticized by bourgeois ideologists, which today contrast not only the views of young and mature Marx, but also the whole works of Marx and Engels, Marx and Lenin, their past and modern followers. Especially “fashionable” is the statement that Marx, Engels and Lenin are supposedly ideological responsibility for Stalinism and its illegal repressions in the USSR. How absurd or fair these judgments are, the reader can find out by getting acquainted with the content of the book.
For many years in domestic social science, the views of such famous revolutionary Marxists as Rosa Luxembourg, Lev Trotsky, Antonio Gramsha, Nikolai Bukharin were killed or distorted. The book gives an appropriate analysis of their philosophical and political views. A significant place in it is reserved for an understanding of Soviet history, a fundamental difference in the politician of Lenin and Stalin, the fate of real socialism in the USSR and the PRC. The book answers “difficult” questions about the nature of the USSR, about the difference between “new” socialism from the “old”, about the comparison of the ideology of Marxism and postmodernism.
Despite the seriousness of the book, it is easy to read. The author sought to write it in a simple and clear language, counting on a wide range of readers who are interested in urgent problems of social science, the history and theory of Marxism and socialism
