The first biography of the artist, a student of L. Bakst and K. Petrov-Vodkin in the St. Petersburg art school E. N. Zvantseva, the author of the lifetime portraits of Marina Tsvetaeva and Vladimir Nabokov. Magda Nakhman lived in Russia in the Silver Age, two revolutions of 1917 and the Civil War. She was in Germany while coming to Hitler’s power, and after that she became a witness to the liberation struggle in India and the establishment of independence there.
