In the presented work, an attempt was made to interpret the most significant events of the domestic history of the first half of the 20th century in the context of the weakening and strengthening of Russian (Soviet) statehood. On the basis of numerous documents, as well as the works of domestic and foreign researchers, the author concludes that for at least two decades, our country did not have sovereigns of sovereignty. For the first time in historiography, the relationship is established between the circumstances of the February and October Revolutions of 1917 and the mass repressions of 1937-1938, a whole system of relations and mutual obligations between representatives of Russian social-democracy and foreign commercial structures is established.
