Daniil Aleksandrovich Granin - laureate of the State Prize, Hero of Socialist Labor, participant in the Great Patriotic War, a gentleman of many orders and medals, an outstanding writer of his time. His name has long become one of the symbols of the city over Neva, who once bore the name "Leningrad".
