The collective monograph is devoted to urgent problems of legal regulation of space activity. The book was prepared based on the results of the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Law and Cosmos: Actual Problems and World Trends", which took place on February 2, 2021 at the Moscow State Law University named after O. E. Kutafin (MGUA) The attention of this scientific and practical forum in the form of an international conference of leading specialists in the field of space law was focused on the analysis of the current situation in the field of space activity of states. On the one hand, the main international cosmos treaties determine the principles of peaceful research and use of space space, the moon and other celestial bodies, establish special international legal regimes of space activities of states, create conditions for the further development of regimes in a number of areas of space activity, but according to which in which The norm -making process froze the corresponding specialized UN structures. On the other hand, at the national level there is an active process of adopting regulatory legal acts of states on key aspects of space activity, which, in essence, contradicts the principles of international cooperation on the research and development of space space, affects the interests of other states and international security. The organizers of the conference were the Department of International Cooperation of the Moscow State Law University named after O. E. Kutafin (MGUA), the Department of International Law of the Russian University of Friendship of Peoples (RUDN), the Department of International Law of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Higher School of Law of the MGUA and the International Union of Lawyers and Economists (France ) The author’s team of the monograph included scientists from Russia, Italy, Portugal, Poland and India.
