Latvian arrows were one of the first soldiers of the revolution. The collection of articles proposed by readers tells how and why a significant part of the military personnel of the Latvian formations of the Russian army with approval met the revolution and became the Praetorians of the new Soviet state. Much attention in the book is paid to the participation of the Latvian units in hostilities against the White Army and interventionists on various fronts of the Civil War, the fate of famous Latvian commanders and political workers is also considered. The text is published according to the publication of 1962 with minor reductions
