The real photo album is dedicated to a unique monument that reflects the multinational Crimean history - the Karaite necropolis in the Josafata valley at the foot of the Chufut -Kalinsky plateau. This monument is first represented by the wide reader so clearly and in detail, but, of course, in one publication it is impossible to cover the whole complex consisting of more than seven thousand tombstones.
The preface to the photo album is written by the Crimean historian M.B. Kizilov. The illustrations were made by the artist and a photographer from Simferopol I.S. Lipunov
