The text is adopted by living pictures of life, morals and traditions of these peoples in interaction with other cultures and states: Persia, the Greco-Roman Empire, the Arab Caliphate, the Ottoman Empire and Russia. A special place in the narrative is occupied by a fascinating description of the meetings both with local residents, including princes, nobles, clergy and peasants, and with the employees of the imperial administration
