In the history of the USSR and the Russian Federation, it has repeatedly happened that in order to achieve strategic goals, their troops had to invade the neighboring territory. Far from always these operations were successfully completed, for which there were objective and subjective reasons. However, the results of these operations have always significantly affected the situation in this region and especially the further development of the country.
The book, based on archival documents and other historical sources, discusses the preparation and implementation of operations of the invasion of the Armed Forces of the USSR and the Russian Federation, which took place from 1920 to 2008, their analysis was made, conclusions and lessons were formulated.
