December 20, 1920 F.E. Dzerzhinsky signed a historical order No. 169 on the creation of a foreign department of the Cheka. This day was the birthday of the foreign intelligence service of our state. The book proposed to the reader tells about scouts who came to the service in the early 1920s and worked in the pre-war years. It was during this period that the formation of Soviet foreign intelligence, which became one of the strongest intelligence services in the world, occurred.
The narrative of the first generation of Soviet foreign intelligence officers is based on documentary materials. And today, when in our society there are more and more thinking people to know the truth about the recent past of Russia, this book will be especially useful
