Boris Lvovich Vasiliev is a classic of Soviet literature, according to the works of which the films "officers" were set up,
"And the dawns here are quiet", "There was a war tomorrow" and many others. During the Great Patriotic War, Boris Vasiliev went to the front as a volunteer, then graduated from a machine gun school and fought as part of the 3rd Guards Airborne Division.
The main place in his memoirs is occupied by a story about the battles in the German environment, where Boris Vasiliev was in the summer of 1941. For almost three months he went to his own, having made a long way from Smolensk to Moscow. Everything was here: terrible pictures of war, the death of comrades, hunger, a constant threat of death or captivity. No wonder later, when B.
