The book is dedicated to the tense period of the latest Russian history from the end of the XIX century to 1941. It reflects the main approaches and conclusions of the author on the problems of the premises, development and results of the 1917 revolution. The national features of the evolution in Russia of the state and civilian institutes are considered in the context of the transition from the traditional to industrial society. Particular attention is paid to the working movement - both in the Provisional Government and during the earliest events of the Soviet regime. The author for the first time in historiography is the problem of three crises of the Soviet government, which followed shortly after the Red October in late 1917 - the first half of 1918, as well as their influence on the formation of a new domestic statehood. The Bolshevik regime and Soviet version of conservative modernization, established in the country, are analyzed in the country. The book is intended for specialists, teachers of the history of students of historical faculties, as well as everyone interested in their native history
