For many decades, Baltazar Cossar - Antipap John XXII (1410-1415) - was considered one of the most odious persons on the papal throne. The fault of this was largely a whole web of rumors and speculations that arose around him during his lifetime, on the end of the period of the so -called great Western scism of, and later multiplied by writers, anticlerical publicists and journalists. The book proposed to readers is the first attempt to a scientific reconstruction of the biography of Cossa in Russian historical literature - without fictionalist romance, without fictional scandalous details and exaggerations
