The work of a large German historian Otto Hinze is devoted to the history of rulers from the Hohenzoller dynasty during the Napoleonic Wars and the Vienna system in Europe - from the end of the XVIII to the second half of the 19th century. During this relatively short period, Prussia manages to tolerate the most crushing defeat in its history, and then embark on the path that will lead to the unification of Germany. The work considers the activities of the Hohenzollern against the background of the era, much attention is paid to both the foreign and domestic policy of Prussia
