The book is a detailed description of the foundation and development of the boarding house Petrel, which was built in the city of Sochi, on the Black Sea, a hundred years ago. This is a unique place, interesting from both a historical and cultural point of view. Now the Petrel is located in the introduction of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosova and known as the health resort of the best scientific personnel in Russia. But few people know that at the beginning and middle of the last century, the vacation house accepted art workers from all over the country., In particular, the Bolshoi Theater and the Moscow Art Theater. There were Vasily Merkuryev, Arkady Raikin, Maya Plisetskaya, Vladimir Vysotsky, Andrei Makarevich and many other celebrities. And even earlier, before the October Revolution, at this place stood the dacha of the scientist V.M. Bekhtereva, artist V.I. Kachalova, merchant-Khlebotorgovsa S.T. Ovsyannikova.
