In the publication dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, modern trends in the development of civil society and legal statehood are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the characterization of the development of human rights activity: the history of this type of social practice, its current state, problems and prospects of development. The study contains a comprehensive analysis of the basic mechanisms of human rights, designed to ensure the implementation of the concepts of the rule of law, the institution of rights and freedoms of man and citizen.
