The book is dedicated to the participation of the 3rd Grenadier Perenovsky regiment in the First World War and the fate of all officers, officials and lower ranks who served in the regiment during this period.
Permnovsky Grenadier Regiment was one of the most famous and honored regiments of the Russian Imperial Army. Formed in 1806, he soon took part in the Patriotic War of 1812 and for the difference in the battles was ranked to the Grenadier Corps. The brief history of the regiment, which opens the book, tells about the formation of the regiment and its combat path until 1914, the features of service in the regiment, changes in the form of clothing and combat differences.
The main part of the book is a detailed description of the fighting of the 3rd Grenadier Perenovsky regiment during the First World War on the southwestern and Western fronts, starting with the mobilization of the regiment in July 1914 and ending with its disbandment in April 1918. Materials on the participation of other regiments of the 1st Grenadier Division and the entire grenadier corps are also presented, information on the combat use of various types of weapons, military equipment and specialized units formed during the war. The text is written on the basis of archival documents and published documentary sources and illustrated with original photographs and images of awards and signs, uniform elements and other items originating from the family archives of the descendants of officers and the lower ranks of the Pernovsky regiment, from the author of the author, private and museum collections , archival documents and literature of the HGX-XX centuries.
